CHRYSOTILE VAR. ORTHOCHRYSOTILE


Chrysotile var. orthochrysotile is not in the current Franklin Mineral Species List.
Orthochrysotile, a magnesium silicate hydroxide mineral of the serpentine group, occurs admixed with clinochrysotile from Franklin and may occur at Sterling Hill as well. The occurrences of orthochrysotile require much additional study. (Dunn, 1995)
